Many
scientists are now saying "It's too late" to save the Earth and life as
we know it due to global warming and other things. We believe we can't
give up and must try. Sustainability is an emergency preventative
measure to those ends.
As many people are highly charged about the "pro-choice" vs. "pro-life"
issue, most have an opinion. If we don't all act immediately
though, there will be no more need for that, animal rights, or
environmental arguments. Because there will be no more "life" as we know
it.
SusPro.ORG is just one tool of many you can use, and must, if we are to
survive. It's no longer "wackos" making absurd claims, simply totally
agreed upon scientific fact. Supporting us and our supporters,
generously, is a vote for life support. We ARE doing something about it,
as much as possible.
We are creating new sustainable examples
of energy & resource efficient housing & agriculture (and gardening)
that can help withstand the new challenges of global warming, energy costs,
the economy, and radical weather anomalies. After completing our demonstration
models, we'll spread what we've learned (what worked & what didn't) via an
educational program that will teach others, who can teach others in turn, etc.
Suspro will also produce step-by-step video guides for our construction and ag
methods, so people anywhere, can easily learn to do it themselves from home,
or on their own site.
HOUSING: We are building models of sustainable, no energy or energy
efficient housing, using alternative sustainable methods appropriate for
different areas. “Alternative” sustainable buildings can be made for
anything from executive housing, to dirt-poor $50 earth-sheltered cabins.
AGRICULTURE AND
GARDENING: One of our goals is to help the small
family farmer continue to exist, sustainably, and increase profits. Another is
to allow people to grow their own food at home. We have unique time proven and
new experimental methods to produce higher crop yields in a sustainable
Earth-friendly fashion, using less space and energy efficient growing methods.
Imagine a farmer who uses 160 acres or more of
land requiring high resource & energy demands, being able to use only a
few acres to make higher profits, produce more with less effort, using less
(and sustainable) resources and energy, and won’t have crop losses due to
short or long-term weather problems. This will become a reality through our
work.
ENERGY:Even Wall Street investors are pushing for
legislation to curb the pollution of some power plants, because of the
economic impact on many businesses, that they expect soon due to global
warming.
We’re using solar electric and water at present. We will be experimenting
with other energy sources also, such as methane and hydrogen.
The auto industry
has begun producing hydrogen powered cars. Hydrogen is made by dividing it
from oxygen in water molecules (H2O) with solar power. Its pollution is just
pure water. And it can economically used on a large scale, even for power
plants.
